wow that is a great idea.
now how about a lm for the thundercar champ...
a thundercar for the mini champ...lol.
How about the Champ's TC for the guy in last place? ;D
Humberstone Spedway has a 91 accord for $900. This car was a great runner, he blew the engine, but it comes with a replacement. Car was built and is being sold by Weekend Motorsports in St Catherines.
CCS champion of 44fun gets a free cage.
Crilly Chassis works puts in a 6 pt mini-stock cage and you need to put their name on the car and sign a waiver that you can't sell it for 2 yrs.
The driver needs to provide the car to Crilly and do ALL of the suspension set-up and any motor work they might want to do.
It's really a great idea, however as Spencer said, there is no payout for the class here. Every odd night somebody might donate $100 to split between the winner and 2nd place, but that is a rarity.
I agree with everybody, the 44fun's need to be safer. I honestly do not know how some guys get in their cars with stock belts, seat and a single roof bar, and no fire suit.
It's something I would never ever do. IMO the cars NEED To be safer, a 4pt cage, racing seat and belts should be mandatory, and no suspesion work or motor work should be allowed in the 44fun.
Move up to Mini's you add a 6 pt cage, fuel cell if you want, play around with the suspension and any motor work you might want to do and go at it!
i agree, i was surprised when I first heard of CCS allowing guys to race with a stock seat belt
people up here complain about FAR less
wow that is a great idea.

Tex, the guy who finishes last in TC gets a brand new build Mini Stock!!! lol
i think the cars need to be safer. safety is first for me and my mom and dad, they wont let me get into a car that is not 100% safe, thats one of the reasons im still not on the track. i was at sunset when a car was on fire buddys lucky he didnt catch on fire cause he wasnt wearing a fire suit.
i spent $900 on the car, $1000 on the motor, $170 or something on my fire suit, $50 on my helmet cause i bought it from my dads friend that used to race thunder car at barrie. and atleast $200 on other parts and stuff i needed. oh and yes this is a 16 year old that was going to school and working almost everynight and i paid for it all myself, that was the deal i made with my parents i wanna race so i gotta pay, it sucks but its teaching me responsibility and now when my mom asks me at the end of this year when i figure out how much money i made all year what i spent my money on instead of saying stupid things like a camera or a phone or an iPod i can say i bought a race car, a SAFE raceacar!
