One of the brothers...Frank it was i think came up to me at AC standing beside my 16v car and gave me a flyer and asked me to come......maybe he doesn't know one way or the other if i'm 16v but i'd be pissed if i towed down there to find out that news...
i think we might need some antifreeze in the cars unless there is some sort of weather miracle.
usually when it is clear at this time of year it gets cold at night...when it's unusually warm in november, it's usually wet too.
who was the person who said no 16v and do they work for the track?
btw i like the idea of the 16v class....the 240's need some more weight to be included though...here's the trouble though...
at AC my 16v honda and the 45 of Sererus(sorry about the spelling) a VW 8 valve weighing 2200 to my 2400 were exactly the same speed....so if there were new rules our cars couldn't race together when we had a really good race...just food for thought..
but all in all some sort of change could be used...

Frank and John both know squat about MiniStocks except that they will bring 30+ cars every week with the rules he has.
It was actually the Flammy tech inspector Glen Hils that posted the fact that 16v cars would not be allowed in Minis at frost Fest. He posted this on The flambaro2003.proboards18 message board and stated that he had discussed it with John C.
16 valve engines will be permitted in thunder cars however 😀

isn't he related to the mini-stock king down there? lol are they afraid of a little competition? if you are running only 2 classes you are shooting yourself in the foot to lock out a bunch of cars and if the tech man is related to the champ it looks even worse on 'em...IMO
If Glen Hils is related to Dave Bailey it is certainly news to me. Flamboro can fill the field with their own cars and draw from other tracks that rule out 16v cars as well. They get 30+ cars at Flammy each week, 20 at Ohsweken, 22 at Merrittville. If they don't rule out 16v then most of those won't bother coming. So save your fuel and stay home, or drop in a 12v engine and come have fun.
As far as tech men go, Glen Hils is the best around. Always fair and straight forward. He works Ohsweken Friday and Flammy Saturday and at either track cheaters NEVER prosper.
J.C., John Casale told me no 16v. We had a short discussion at Octoberfest too the fact that at the drivers meeting it was announced any out of town cars would have to run by Flamboro rules in thunders and minis. Plus there was a rumour that Flamboro might allow 16v next year to run, and i suggested that if this was true he should let people know so we can all start looking for hondas...lol.
But his response was, "i have to let the 16v run today because it's and invitational, but that is the only time."
Glen Hils is related to the Funstock champ at Ohsweken, which is the cheapest low cost racing anywhere.
Frank Casale is a great guy, but sometimes he has no idea what John is doing.
One time years ago when I raced challengers, John advertised an invitational and a few days before it i tried to get some info but couldnt get a hold of John, so I called Frank.
Frank was like "what are you talking about?" because i guess he looks after the concession side of things and hands out flyers at car shows. He didnt know a thing about it. Was pretty funny, he thanked me later.
There were 45 minis at Octoberfest....5 i'm told were 16v, so turning the 5 away would keep 40 happy...lol.
