hey pitman, i'll bring some dirt from the farm and "leak" it out on the track during practice just to make you feel at home.

How'd you make out down there? full mini results are hard to come by. never even seen the Flamboro ones from the week before

I'll just run a few laps with two wheels in the dirt and bring it out onto the track, lol.

I got to the track after practice on Friday and then drew #1 so I started pole in the first heat with the wrong set up in the car. Tried to hang onto the bottom line but got shoved up by one of the home track boys. Got the car to handle better Saturday, but started tail in the heat that time. Started 15th in the B and couldn't get a caution to bunch the field up. I counted a 9th place finish, the last car to go a lap down, but they scored me 12th and two laps down. I would have argued but it wouldn't get me in the main and the difference in payout was $12 between the 2 spots.

I had a blast, saw some old friends, made some new ones. Would have been nice to make the A main but a mustang is tough to get into that show. I don't think it is worth bringing the car anymore since they needed to let in the 12 and 16 valve cars. I'd have to cheat to make the field and that ain't racing to me. Believe me I got the parts to do it with too.

Abel-is that you?  Maybe they should do like Holland and run a separate feature for Front Wheel drive multivalves and a separate rear wheel drive class feature? After watching those multivalve hondas dominate at Brighton labour day weekend, I still feel they handle lousy on a dirt track, push through the corners, but seem to be able pull their way out of trouble (but they sure don't look pretty doing it and don't corner tail out like a traditional dirt car). Glad they're not legal at Ohsweken or Merrittville.

If they don't want 16v why don't they post it on there site...that might eliminate most out of towers....do out of towners also have to pull there racing rims as well????????

Most tracks in Ontario don't allow 16 V mini stocks  and 90% don't allow DOHC . Many tracks like GB , Varney etc wont allow 16 V cars even at invitationals .

I like the racing you get with a mix of 8 V and 12 V , FWD and RWD cars of 5 or 6 makes . Other wise just make an Acura/Honda class with a few 240 Nissan's .

I like the rules Humberstone has -  No 16 V  .  No DOHC
WEIGHTS:

1. Added weight must be securely mounted with minimum two ½’’ bolts, weight must be painted white with car number

2. Cars must weigh 1 pound per CC but never less than 1900lbs. Plus any handicap with driver at any time

3. Mustang, Capri, VW Rabbit, Golf, Jetta, Nissan Sentra 2500 lbs minimum

4. Chevettes 1900 lbs minimum

5. Nissan Stanza 2.4 ltr 3100 lbs minimum

6. All cars must have CC and ruled weight displayed on hood for convenient tech and scaling
