glad you saw it that way also about the 72. Bad crash in the third 50 will cost Collison way more than what he won to repair a really chewed up car. Did the 9 turn the 76 to get things going in that wreck?. Otherwise had been a relatively clean night.
I couldn't believe the double heat bit !!. Isn't one set of 15(!) lap heats long enough? I knew we were in trouble when Paxton said 400 laps of racing action at the start of the program (and where did he disappear to during the wreck in the 3rd 50 or for that matter while races are on)
Next year this show, if it is on again, will had to be advertised and promoted more than one month ahead of time to be a financial success.
Interestingly I was sitting with Art Bicknell, the brother of well known Dirt 358 mod driver and chassis builder Pete Bicknell, and he was telling me he found out about the race when Bicknells, who are the Hoosier Tire Canada dealer, had to ship tires to the track.
I posted that the race was happening on the RaceNY message board and hopefully that's where the driver of the #90 from Randolph NY found out about the race. Besides Elliot's 36, the only real surprise outsiders (other than the American 90) were Baker in the 63 and Fitz's ride in the 13x
And the 31 of Gallant did the same thing in the second feature, got the pole for the3rd feature and led every lap until I left at half way.Assuming that he did go wire to wire, that means that of the 5 features,4 of them were won wire to wire(13 thunder,31 mini,72 thunder,31 thunder)and in the second mini feature there was only 2 leaders(03 and 18).One pass for the lead out of 200 race laps.Methinks that track really needs some progressive banking.
right on Dennis. I found out the 90 was James Mallaber from Franklinville NY who runs in the Charger division at Holland Speedway. He should have been given a long tow award. He is now probably cursing that he read my post on Raceny.com about the race-LOL (I figure I probably drummed up some business for John which should be worth something-LOL).
We were also discussing instead of having driver introductions, we do the reverse and introduce the fans to the drivers. May have been quicker.

other surprise outsiders were Herb Walters 88, Ryan Semple 64, a dirt car from Oshweken, plus the 99, 7, 75, and the 09...sorry dont know their names.
introduce the fans...lol.
yes i was disappointed in the games....someone else tried that dogging it to get the pole next race and it backfired when he was black flagged for bring out the caution for no reason.
they were holding up the mini feature because the 16 stalled and zardos pipe was dragging...they were trying to find the bubble cars...then 16 got fire back up again and zardo came out but still wasnt fix, so he was sent back off and they had a bubble car by then...yes made for alot longer nite.
if they try it again i would rather see an invert draw of the top ten finishing orders of the first features so they arent dogging it to get pole the next race...and one set of heats and a consi, maybe 2 consis if there are that many cars.
a few people that were there told me they saw racecars going somewhere on saturday and wondered what was going on...they checked the internet and found out there was a race.
and talk about karma...that 27 mini saw some a few people were saying, after he took 4 cars out one race then the second he nailed the wall nose first all on his own.
