I also undertand that several cars from Varney are coming.

I was there this afternoon and they say about 55 cars showed up during the day to practise. There was a car from NY state and he told a few people that a few other cars from the states were coming tomorrow. From the people I talked to, Russnell was the fastest in time by a bit. The band was setting up when I left. Everyone seemed pretty happy to get another chance to race and they all seem to think it will be a good show. John Casale was smiling...alot...so that says something.

42 minis, 33 thundercars.
Bailey won the first 25 lap mini with the #50 VW from Sauble right on his tail, the #18 black with green numbers dodge charger from Sunset I think won the second holding Bailey off for a number of the last few laps.
Collison won the first 50 laps leading from start to finish, i'm pretty sure Russnell won the second and i think he led every lap or pretty close...i didnt stay for the 3rd.
Weather was cold, but bearable...about 200 fans were in the grandstands for the start, but started leaving as the sun went down...long night...everyone ran 2 heats...should have ran 1 set of heats and then consis....would have saved time and some damage.
I heard the band the night before played for about 10 people.

Good try by Flamboro to race in November.Car counts pretty good for this time of year. Will they try it again anything is possible but with 200 fans in the stands does that cover expences but then the addmission in the pits covers some of the expences .Will they have to revamp the weekend if they try again yes as previous poster said 2 heats for each car to many go to 2 or 3 heats for each division and
cosi if needed . Again good idea but it remains to be seen if they will try it again.

just got home from there myself crash........the start of that first mini feature was  joke...took them that long to lineup.i couldnt figure that out...lol..and nobody should say rusnell isnt smart..with about 15 to go in the first 50 and himself running around 9th or 10th he slowed down enough until collison was behind him to put himself the last car on the lead lap then put the hammer down to finish there so he could start on the pole for the next 50 and pick up the bonus money.........good thinking..
