Biggest problem with this matching week-end thing.....nobody wants to give up the long week-ends to another track.

Because John can only give his LMs the night off if he can get the Canadian Vintage Modifieds in to fill the gap in the program. So that would mean asking the CVMs to adjust their schedule (and, in turn, potentially adjusting the schedules of the other tracks they run at) so the Flamboro LMs could go run in the Delaware specials.

And, in reality, how many Flamboro cars would actually venture out to Delaware if they had the time off? (Shaw, D. Elliott, G. Elliott, maybe one more...)

Methinks its too many logistics to allow these few cars to run at another track.

Just my 2 cents worth.

As far as the LMs go, I dont think Flamboro does anything special (outside of autograph night) with them on the long weekends. Instead, all of the Flamboro specials (at least during the summer) come in the middle of the month...

I agree with most of whats being said. I think the bottom line is there is only so many guys that are willing to travel. For whatever reason. Maybe money not in the budget, family obligations, sponsors or they dont feel that they are competitive enough to leave there comfort zone. I dont know just guessing. I will say this, in my opinion travelling is challenging, a nice change of pace, it can be rewarding or it can really piss you off, but the bottom line is its not for everyone. That can be said about racing in general and some people are satisfied with just running at their home track. That may not ever change.

and travelling let's you find new pre-race poker games...right Racer43?

Sorry we won't be at Delaware early enough to get a game going tonight.
