after talking with the oss,i believe the only two major difference between the Siemens west tour and the oss is we run on goodyears and they run on Hoosiers, the second is we mandate the use of the Hans. we also allow the old western super series cars to run with us also, this made our life a little easier. after being tech director and race director for the west i have a new found respect for tony n., i do not know how he did this for years it has already aged me beyond belief

Sorry racechaser, but i talked with OSS Director and underslung aren't allowed.
To have and idea of OSS Rules, that are based on CASCAR-Sportsmen Rules 2005, you could go to this link.
http://www.autoclearingmotorspeedway.ca/Rules/2007%20Western%20Elite%20Rule%20Book.pdf
WEST (Western Elite StockCar Tour) used rules based on CASCAR Late-Model/CASCAR-Sportsmen Rules.
An underslung rear-unit may have some advantages, specially with weight gravity centre... A car-weight near the ground could highly help you to save tires during long races over 100-150-200 racelaps.
You talked to the wrong person.
I doubt whether the underslung would be an advantage in a 50 lap race.
last thing any track needs is to take the 10 year leap backwards and start running those things again. the OSS was a good idea for the guys that have the stuff, but doing any "sportsman" type shows at Delaware or anything like that would be a HUGE waste of time. Just because there are lots out there, doesn't mean they need to be put to use (note OSS car counts). The last thing Delaware, or any track, needs is more divisions, it's spreading out the drivers enough as it is.
I think if all the stars lined up Delaware would be able to get a good count of regulars....Off the top of my head, I can think of at least four machines either dormant or under construction in the area....
From what I found on the Delaware website is that the OSS cars
are invited to qualify the APC 300 race.Does anybody know if there is rule changes for their cars to attempt to qualify
