I'm just wondering how many incidents the older cars can handle before they get too bent up, that's all...
I don't think age is a factor with the OSS,,,Steve Robblee's 28 was built in 1991.
Is that the newest one. just kidding. I think the point is some of these older cars are just wore out. If you guys would buy some of the new style ( which is not true they have been around for ever ) cars you'd see the difference . Get away from the Tony glass bill, expensive and getting tough to find suspension parts and costly and unreliable engines. The OSS is a great idea but I think will be short lived. Just M.O.
FYI we have saved money with the new car compared to the Cascar in weekly costs after the car was bought.
And therein lies the problem: Do guys compete somewhere with the stuff they already have, and pay more to do so less often, or do they eat the initial costs of a new underslung car which has lower operating costs? Right now Delaware appears to be a McColl-dominated track, but if the track plays its cards right in attracting more cars, I have a feeling more guys might be tempted to run with non-McColl chassis cars (ie. Port City)
Are the cars more expensive less often? When you have to clip a car, put in a new motor, a right front corner, five body panels. How many times until you've bought a LM. A question is all.
Dont forget guys Jesse's other car.... a top five car in the 140 ... 20K OBO turn key I'm pretty sure cheap cheap
