I'm sure Travy doesn't mind...

I like Barrie for a few reasons, less reasons than i did a few years ago, but its still home....

The people there are awesome...dave, dave, darryl, brad, steve all great people and don't mind chatting, and don't come at you like they are hot shit like some do at another track in the area...

I love the challenge of the track and how professional it looks, sure with cut grass and some paint it may look even more professional, but compare t to many other trakcs around, not just the brand new one and it stacks up really well.

The big thing for me is the people, even last year....all the racers are just good guys...theres always spats and crap, but last year we all had lots of fun racing one another and that has certainly continued this year.

Staff are friendly and outgoing.  It find it very open lots of room in the pits, stands and parking.
Fans can watch the races from any spot around the track.  And there is also a heated shelter area for the fans.

I know this is a bit off topic, I noticed it on Barrie speedway website and noticed no one had mentioned it.
It doesn't affect everyone but is cool for some:

Rama Moccasin & Smoke, sponsors of the Late Model Class, have added $4500 to the Late Model championship payouts at Barrie Speedway this year. That brings the total to over $20,000 that will be paid to the top 10 Late Model positions this year! With the bonus money added by Rama Moccasin & Smoke, the 2010 Track Champion will earn up to $7000 plus another $2,000 US if they are also provincial champion. “Rama Moccasin and Smoke are excellent sponsors and this shows their dedication to the sport of racing and to Barrie Speedway. We want to thank them for their continued support and look forward to an exciting 2010 season”, stated Jim Payetta.

Drivers are also reminded that Barrie Speedway will be paying the NASCAR license fee for all drivers who race all but 2 nights at Barrie Speedway this season.

7000 to win the championship is insane! Makes yu wonder why some others wouldn't go for it?!
