hey wadepeterson, where do you see all this groaning from? maybe your thinking of last year...have you even been looking around this year? I have having fun and staying out of the stupid stuff at the track. you can almost ask anybody!!!!Go ask Steve St Onge how I have been this year! Before you ridicule somebody one here get your facts straight. Or better yet, let's not ridicule anybody!
oh and thanks dad and swaybar for backing me up on that one!!!! my dad knows cause he's always around and most everybody at the track has seen the HUGE improvements on my part!

also, i want everyone to know that this is nto a Joe's car bashing thread....the whole purpose was to see if there is an underlying cause to ALLLLLL of the serious accidents in this class this year....not jsut Joe's...his car did need hoops...and i believe Nick French and Kent Dorian were at Joe's a couple times working on his car...so he did get help....His roll cage was a very good one, it just wasnt completely complete...lol...as for you Wade, i have come to know you alot better recently, and comments like that are unnecessary in this thread....i got no problems with you, would jsut appreciate if you would not make coments like that when we are discussing somehting as serious as this....

My opinion that the drivers need to be able to build these cars like thunder cars. Need to be able to get rid of anything that is not needed in the cars, the less junk there is the less chance of hurting yourself there would be. A full frame should be mandatory in any race car. At first these cars were just supposed to have roll cages in them. Nobody has ever told anyone that you can get rid of the junk around the steering column, this would have been considered gutting. I would love to use the proper steering column kits. Its kind of hard to find a Mustang or some of the other cars that are off the road and cheap to build a good race car out of. The other problem is finding quality used parts for these cars. Also I don't think any race car that doesn't have new fuel and brake lines on it should be allowed near a race track. Bottom line is these are race cars and should be built like race cars. Accidents will happen but the car you are in should be safe. But the tech inspection at the beginning of the year needs a little more work.
