I know back in the late 80's was the last time that taking a victory lap was a normal thing and the flagman was always giving the flag to the guy who won to take a victory lap. I think they should allow this for the feature winners if they choose to do so.

When I took the flag last night and did a victory lap it was a great feeling. the fans loved it and everyone was cheering as i hung the flag out of the window. Racing is meant to be for fun and for the fans to have a good show. I'd rather see a victory lap then some guy stopping and holding the flag and trophy. That's just my opinion though. I've always wanted to do a victory lap. Since I was a kid watching my dad race that's all I ever wanted to do was to take that flag with me and slowly go around the track. That was an awesome feeling. So what do you guys think about allowing the feature winners to take a victory lap if they choose to do so?

Great idea, this would also give the fans around the whole track to show their support to their favorite driver on a win. It's kinda hard when you fav is across the track on the other side.

Sure victory laps are a good thing.
My very first feature win was at Barrie in a Dwarf car. The flag man handed me the flag and off I went. About corner two the flag caught under the rear wheel and ripped off the stick.  I finished the lap waving this stick in the air. When I returned to the start finish line the flag man said "is this your first time doin this or what."
