well RWD cars are at a disadvantage because it has to go through the tranny, the driveshaft and into the rear end. Where as front wheel cars well it doesn't need to go through that. Yeah we look at front wheel cars now at Barrie. They seem to be dominating more and more as time goes on! The only RWD cars that can keep up are definately doing something the rest aren't! Either cause they found something or cause they are outside the rules.

But I would leave it the way it is and run the chargers and the "A" division!

That cirtainly seems to be the case. At Barrie anyway. It is funny though, because back a couple of years ago, hardly any of the FWD's could touch the Mustangs. Now it seems that Honda's are the way to go.

Splitting the RWD and FWD won't fix the 16v argument.

FWD and RWD at most tracks I've been to have been pretty equal. It's the valvetrain, and engine teching that seem to serperate things at certain tracks. IMO.

One of the main things i like seeing in the mini class that no other class has is a Civic lined up beside a Mustang Shadow Subaru Nissan Neon Daytona Cavalier Volvo Chevette etc etc etc. You are right Kyller what really separates things is the teching . You have Flamboro at one end of the spectrum where they are very strict and stay on top of things all the way to the other end of the spectrum Sunset where it is run whatcha brung .Barrie was pretty good but really they only knew how to tech the Mustangs and it took Glen at Flamboro to catch the Burrows Boyz who most at Barrie knew where cheating like hell.

As long as they don't try to put V6 cars in with the 4 cyl's like at Mosport... bad idea... the V6's stomp the four's, as most people would guess would happen...

youd be surprised at how slow some of the V6s are

the 4s arent nearly as outclassed as it would look on paper, just look at the results

No 4 cyl has ever run in the top 5 . Mike Myer driving one of the fastast Barrie mini stocks was not able to break inside the top 10 . Bill Pearsall driving the fastast mini from Flamboro was not able to score better then a 9th . If you are driving a 2.3 in a class that allows 4.3 ltr on a fast half mile track you are spitting into the wind.

off the top of my head

paul ryder and shannon kimmerly, both in 4 cylinder cars have WON this year

just because two cars unfamiliar with the track couldn't do it, doesn't make it impossible

it helps to use facts before making these claims....

If anyone wants a 77 Mustang II for free pm. me.. this is the body and chassis only from the firewall back .I sold the front end to a guy building a hot rod... I do have the fenders and hood and grille header but not the rad support . It still has the stock rear in it  .I will want the wheels and tires back after you move it . It is already gutted including the dash removed . I have the engine  ,2.3 but will need some $ for it.. it has 38,000 original miles on it .
