the new class has nothing to do with the chargers. it is actually a challenger class, that would move the next generation thunders up a class, so people could utilize older , outdated late models and keep the current old style thunders competitive again. by merging the 4 cylinders again, their would still be four divisions. funny how rumours fly! i know because i'm one of the people trying to get this class going.

actually im the one that talked to the track owners about the 6cyl class it wasent a rumour and it was going to be a grand am series were the is only grand am's and they really liked the idea but it was just a suggestion it would probably a touring series with barrie speedway being the home track, anyways all i was looking for was a class a little different then every one elise that when i found f4's, but the track owners were open to any new class as long as you could get 10-15 people intrested so i give up on the grand am idea and now i am planning to build a f4 for the 2008 season even if we dont run them at our track id just run Invitational and run my 4cyl part time
