so i know i started this whole board conversation, and i know that if i wouldnt have someone else would have. im not saying Barrie is perfect, cause it sure is not. i sure would have been at my home track watching my dad out there on the track, and my competitors as my car isnt quite race ready. i still agree with Yorkie about the children in the pits. im not saying barrie is better then sunset, i used to go to sunset all the time when i was little but i knew nothing about racing then, i still dont know everything there is to know but when i dont i ask questions, you should see it when we are working on my car, i think i annoy my dad and corey more then help. i wasnt to happy about going there from parry sound to watch and help drivers and having one of them getting screwed over, im over it. and im sure the other drivers are too. i personally would not race there until i know i can handle it, if at all.  so kudos to all of those that had the guts to get out there. and to Deb its nice to see you give those people money right out of your pocket, we atleast know someone cares, i dont think anyone at barrie would do that. so good luck to everyone running at suset and see the rest of you saturday at barrie speedway if you know we dont get "rained" out again!

the first mistake was trying to run all 4 make up features in one night....
second mistake was not putting measures in place to account for the extra scoring and calculating...
the racing was great, the announcing was great...everything else was a joke, and for anyone to come on here to complain about it is totally justified...
the championships this year unfortunately will be contraversial and if any come down to within 10 points we will not really know who won thanks to all that has gone on this year with scoring...that's just the facts..
the 35 car started on the pole of my heat i thought he should have started scratch he has not raced at sunset before i don't know what happpened there...
if i was barrie97ps i'd be on here complaining too...when the last place car in the consi ran the feature #7.
yorkie the fans at sunset are the same as fans anywhere...it has nothing to do with sunset just with the person whose mouth it came out of...if it was three people it was those 3 people...most likely crews of competing cars who are either jealous and wrong or smart and right lol

so to re-cap on the night we were going to run all 4 make up features and have a great night of racing with barrie cars...we pissed off the barrie guys embarrased them by kicking them off the track...had probably a total of 40-50 minutes of time where all you could hear were the crickets, messed up the starting orders, had the top 3 from a heat in the consi lineup and the last place qualifyer of the division in the feature cars driving on and off the track before a race linup was complete..called the races early on sunday morning two features shy of  a done deal...good night for the newly named race director AND race reporter....so how can you direct the races while reporting on them? seems like there is less people doing the same amount of work now too....

Well Username??  I don't know how long you've been around racing but in my time I've been apart of the double feature on the same night many of times.  I have also done points and percentages for the following features in the same night.  Where the problem was Saturday night was there was no time inbetween scoring races and handicapping to do my lineups.  I had no intermission to work with nothing.  Then the dumb ass on the board in the pits is screaming for the one and only line-up I haven't got ready and could I get it thru his head to start with another division????NO........so I've taken my blame now they can take some..........but definately some positions need filled at the speedway.

And might I ask how do you just throw someone up in the tower to score when they have never done it before.  Handicappers and scorers are not a dime a dozen...........I'm training two girls now but believe it or not there is alot of ground to cover.  It's not as simple as one thinks.  Remember folks when your keeping track of your car your talking about 1 in a crowd........try 24 in each division, multiplied by 4...............ya doesn't become so simple never mind out cars, lapped cars etc etc..........

AND FOR THE LAST TIME 97 4 CYLINDER WOULD HAVE STARTED AT THE BACK.
And if his car had of been properly identified with the X that definately could have helped things............All my line up guys see is 97....

Transponders......problem solved. ;D  except for guests.....lol them all start at the back so no prob.

i think the three main concerns at this point are...

no cautions being thrown for dangerous situations....

not getting scored and lined up right...

reporting of results and points on the website or lack thereof...

i have been around racing at sunset for one year back in 91 or 92 and since the last race of 2004...alot less than many on this board but i know a bad scene when i see it...

sorry if i made you upset deb but one way or the other we just want a well run event and i appreciate you coming on to explain things from your perspective and admitting some degree of what went on i think the blame should go to the director of race operations or whatever the hell they want to call king sh*t of tird island.  he didnt realize that the tasks of running the show were too great for the staff and the amount of forethought management had.  Did anyone who has responsability not see this disaster coming?  since they announced in the race report last week they were running this show i made a post saying "good luck" because i knew it wouldn't work just based on how much was going wrong with our regular shows how are you gonna put this giant show on and the time that was needed...also predicted no yellows...not that i'm smart it was just that obvious to me and other racers...why not anyone who was responsible for it?

and deb i know it may be chaos in there and there is way more to the job than i may know but it's not rocket science and it isn't your fault that it got this way but we are way to far into the season to be having these problems....everyone makes mistakes and i think you will fix these problems just really dissapointed and upset and nothing has gotten better so far since the new owner came...i lied acually i noticed they sell sausages now lol
