mistakes happen it's understandable.

one thing that didn't make since..was they scraped Spectator Races...beacuse of time...but they should have run that during the long delays....then you wound't of had so many fans upset...beacuse I was in the stands..and a lot were really getting impation.

They should have realised it was going to take a bit to get it all sorted out and left it in the program for the night.

Easy for us to say that now but i bet at the time they had no idea it would take as long as it did to set the lineup. We cant change history so i guess we better chalk it up as another lesson in life learned and things get righted for the future.

Thanks Skidder.

I'm not on here to stir things up, only to give some insight on what happens behind the scene.  Sunset has great potential and I think we all need to give it a chance.

I have been back to race twice this year, first night I had to run scratch, finished 4th or 5th in my heat and was then told I had to run the consi, I really didn't care too much as they had me starting pole and as they only let us run one heat I wanted to take the extra race..lol, as I was leaving the pits to line up I was told to park it they made mistake and I was not running...oddly enough the same deal last night. I finished second in my heat after starting last again and I got called for the consi, so I suited up got ready and was pulling out of my pit, again I didn't want to argue I figured what the hell I will race  8)  They had me starting on pole again. Then again there was a mistake so I parked it.
I stood in tech last night with Bill laughing my ass off as 3 times the line up was posted and I was not included, he was yelling over the radio at the Illustrious Brian Watt to figure out what was going on and finally on the 4th try I got listed....LAST again, I said comon man I should be starting at the very least mid pack he said man after this crap be thankfull you are on the list.

It was a good night all in all, Thayne I am sorry you got boned, they had you starting 6th to begin with as the SS 97 was supposed to be there, I didn't realize they sent you off the track, It was a busy mofo of a night and I think that everybody was in over their heads, some un happy fans, some unhappy drivers but for the most part it was a good show. If it hadn't of been the the Circus the 4 cylinder deal was turned into we would have seen one hell of a Thunder race.
I am going to try one more time next week, if I get told again hmmm.....#00 we don't have you on the list, and I get stuffed at the back after a DNF this weekend, (I broke a rotor and tried to run with my handbrake but decided against it and pulled off lol) I will pack it in for the balance of the year and just go run some Inv's elsewhere and try again next year I suppose. ;D

Hahaha Bill was alternating between the radio and telling people "I don't have the numbers" all night. I'm surprised he didn't lose his voice. And of course all the drivers were standing there looking at him, waiting for the numbers  ;D

I can just imagine how busy the tower can be with a double feature event, additional cars from somewhere else, and a little confusion.

Kudos to Deb for owning up to any mistake she made face to face with the racers.

I would be pretty proud to hear the staff at the speedway where I race have that kind of integrity.
