Deb, I thank you and if i had known it was out of pocket i would have declined...
As far as stirring up stuff...maybe I am, but would u blame me?!?! After being told that the starter KNEW I was to be in there and he radio'd back, overturning the official scorers decision....
I have no sympathy for a track who does me wrong like that...especially aweek after i phoned, was told i could tag onto the back of the feature and then get there to find out i was not able...
Now after tonight my car is wrecked bad after tonight now...so this weekend has been a nightmare...
AND FOR THE LAST TIME 97 4 CYLINDER WOULD HAVE STARTED AT THE BACK.
And if his car had of been properly identified with the X that definately could have helped things............All my line up guys see is 97....
I HAD X'S oN EVERY DAMN NUMBER oN THAT CAR...U WANNA BLAME THIS oN ME? WHAT A JoKE
now I do wanna stress that the fellas that race there are some awesome people and the track is fun, the owner is nice and brian watt is crazy.....my problem only lies in what happened...as a result I will not be back...i just want it to be clear that all those things are not the reason....
First I would like to say KUDOS to everyone who works at Sunset with the NEW Management cause you are all taking the brunt of everything going wrong meanwhile you are only taking directions from NEW Management:
1. Some of the crew members and drivers of the 4 cyl division did not accept the fact that Barrie cars were there, it has nothing to do with the fact about racing against each other it has to do with the fact sunset drivers are there for points and money and cause of the new management only allowing 24 cars in a feature they would get screwed don't understand the whole concept behind this cause never used to have any problems with 30 to 35 cars on the track before, it is to my understanding correct me if I am wrong its so the NEW managements does not have to pay the drivers who do not make the feature.
2. Hello NEW Management get your act together!!!!! Everyone knew it would be a hectic night at Sunset especially when they are running double features, HELLO, or is it that the NEW Management has no clue on what he is doing? Don't care if he ran the track in the late 70's this is the year 2008!!!!
3. Also having a meeting after you cancel the races with the thunder cars that there payout would be $600.00 for 1st place from now on. WOW how do you think the late model drivers are not going to protest this, don’t they only get $800.00 or has that been moved up to $1,000.00 LMAO. Also does that mean you are increasing the 1st place winner for 4 Cylinder and Four Fun???? Now I am really LMFAO
4. Why was the race cancelled during the thunder car feature? This totally screws up the top 3 points leader of thunders cars for having the points not count??? Or is it cause New Management faved driver put herself out of the race and wrecking another car? Cause that would take her out of the points? LMFAO.
5. Does sunset not have a clean up crew??? Never had so much sand in my eyes watching a race before.
6. Having kids under the age of 14 or 16 in the pits is crazy keep out the kids, it is not a safe place for them and if I were the parents I would want to see the insurance policy allowing my kid under the age of 14 or 16 in the pits, plus as a parent why would I endeanger my kids to this, what are the parents thinking???? and why is it that it seems that only Sunset allows kids under the age in the pits and others don't.
7. Does the New Management not know that cautions are needed for reasons NEW Management is putting the lives of the drivers in jeopardy. If you want races to end early then have races on Sundary afternoon starting at Noon so that you can go home early or better yet why did you buy the track???????????????????????????????????????????????
8. Also NEW Management has a lot of ass kissing to do with Sunset and Barrie Drivers especially the way he has handled himself within the last 2 weeks, no excuses on how everything was run!!!!
The way things have gone so badly how does Sunset expect to have any cars from other tracks come out for the frosty special, with every other driver, pit crew is reading this??
P.S. also what is with the cost of a can of coke going from $1.00 to $2.00 WTF
Deb, I want to take some of the blame for pressuring you for a lineup. The race order I was given did not have the second set of Late models listed, and therefor I believed that my consi's were up next and so it probably got the ball rolling in the wrong direction....so for that I do apologize. Its just increasingly frustrating since the infield never receives a lineup and I am always running for one.
5. Does sunset not have a clean up crew??? Never had so much sand in my eyes watching a race before.
Yes, in fact my husband and I (with the exception of last year), have been the cleanup crew for many years...i think this year is 7 years now...but he was also helping with it long before I came along. We also try to get people to help, but not many want to work for free and especially on a Saturday night. I now have the infield lineup position, but still do clean up, and I am out there every time I can to help. If you are talking about the oil spill in corner 3/4 at the beginning of the night, it was imperative that we lay down so much stuff. It soaked up all of it and then it was still way too slippery to let cars race on that so we have no choice but to lay more on it to soak it up. The normal policy has been to get up as much as possible and sweep it down which we did and then lay a little bit more and have the cars run through it to make sure it is not slippery.
If you are talking about dirt that gets up in the groove from people getting in the dirt, the majority of time if we are not callled to clean it up, they let it go. Not our call. But I will tell you we do the BEST we can. We do not want an unsafe track any more than anyone else does.
First of all why are there people parked in the infield, it is very embarassing they are just pigs and they leave the place a mess, get them in the pits, there is enough room there to park there cars, and why is that they don't have to pay for a parking spot most of them leave there cars all the time. Can't say you don't have the space because if all those Barrie cars found places to pit so can they???????????????????????????????? Plus if the drivers wanted to know when they are going to race or what place they are in why not do what the drivers in the pits do go check the board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
