DECALS ON RACE CARS IN 2008

Those decals represent the companies that sponsor the track that YOU race on,  without those sponsors, I very much doubt that there would be a track that YOU could race on.  So, in a rather direct way, you do benefit from those decals.

Also many of those companies give vouchers to heat race winners, most laps led, rookie of the year, most cars passed (hard charger), pole winners (if there are time trials) that type of stuff.

Just run the decals, even the NASCAR cup guys have to run them.  I'm sure Rodger Penske is not too impressed that the #2 car has a "Bud pole" decal on it.

Your really not inferring that without those decal sponsors or for that matter NASCAR their would be no Barrie Speedway are you ? . If there is anyone in the 4 cylinder division that got something from any of the decal sponsors for heat race wins , most lap led , most cars past hard charger etc please let me know because i don't believe its true . No the Cup guys don't have to run them and teams like Petty Enterprizes have not run them for over 20 years thats why they are never in the Busch Clash / Bud Shoot Out . I have been with teams that refused to run certain decals over the years for different reasons . Sometimes your forced to have certain decals on the car or they wont let you run but most times its up to the car owner if they want to opt out of a contingency program . If you don't feel its worth while or you object for other reasons why COC Violation - Please try and watch the language yourself to these companies .

Does Barrie Speedway give awards for heat wins, cars passed, laps led etc.?

If they don't, they should. It doesn't have to be big, like a $25 voucher for the local speed shop, or even a pizza joint (The beer store would be the best, but I'd bet theres a lawyer somewhere that'd have something to say about that)

I guess, in the end, it is up to the owner of the car.  But if you expect the track to work with you, you should work with them.  (the whole do unto others thing)

Really, a few 3" x 5" decals aren't a big deal.

I thought we were told last year that if we don't run the decals then we are not eligible for any of the extra Nascar money at the end of the year, maybe I'm wrong but I think that is what was said last year. I know that it really sucks to have to run them I would like to make some cash off the front fenders every little bit helps. Or maybe Nascar should put some money up front for the drivers that run the decals, Like Pinecrest said maybe some of the sponsors should give out some products through out the year to make it worthwhile to us the guys and girls supporting them.???? just my thoughts,

The only deals the Cup guys HAVE to run are the Goodyear and Sunoco. Red Bull cars don't run anything else.
