MOST teams do run more than those 2, and it's not because they have to. Maybe the Red Bull team should run more, it may help their performance. If I was on that team I'd be willing to try just about anything.
On a side note related to Red Bull ... Skinner should stay in that car.
do the cup guys get any products from the decal sponsors. the cup teams are bigger and I think that they do run some of the products that are advertised on the side of the cars.?
I am unsure abut that...it is my feeling that we shuldn't run them unless there is supprt but I understand also that BSW has to get sumthing frum it.
It's a tuff subject but in the end it shuld be all about the racers and running these decals does very little for us. The points fund at the end of the year is nice, but only for the top 3...theres not much in it for the rest of us.
Does it not say in the package that is issued with the decals to apply the ones that your team uses the products offered by those companies? I thought it did. I put most of them on there anyways, but some of the companies I use their products, and my thought is this: They pay NASCAR Whelen All-American series for their contingincy stickers to be applied, and NASCAR has a nice points fund for us, so it's all helping. Ask Dwayne Baker about how he was treated in Vegas and by the NASCAR people.
It's not like I'm running out of room for sponsors on my car. And besides the way I look at sponsorship is this: I try to help local businesses I deal with or know. If they can help me out, that's great. For me I'm paying the deal out of my pocket. Maybe someone will come along with a great sponsorship deal one day, but for now it's me paying the shot.

The cup guys have the option of which contingency stickers they run,if they choose not to run a certain sticker they don't qualify for any contingency awards offered by that company.Ever look at the results of a cup race and wonder why the driver who finished in 17th got more money than the driver who finished 4th? It's because of those stickers.
Now with the Whelan all-american series it's a similar idea but you have 2 choices- put the sticker package on your car and qualify for nascar points fund or don't put the stickers on and you don't qualify for the nascar points fund.Each sticker in the package represents a company that has paid nascar for advertising,nascar pays contingency money to the drivers that display the stickers in the form of a year end points fund.
