im sure we will be there a few nights and the fall classic
The problem when you head to Varney to run, you pretty much get black balled by the tech guys. Alot of the local drivers really start crying when a fast car from out of town comes in and out runs them. Last time I went down there the tech guys were all over my car just trying to find something wrong with it and were not able to. I'll give it to last years race director, because he came up and told me I raced clean down there and I was welcome back anytime. So A+ for that!
The tech guys need to take a page from his book and be a little more easy to get along with!
Once again, some real positive feedback here on CRO.
Varney is trying to keep costs down and even the playing field. Sorry you don't agree with the changes that are being made, many of which won't be realized until drivers show up and, many of which don't have anything to do with class rules but, the fact remains we are taking steps to bring our track up to par with others. We can't make the leap all in one year.
It continues to blow me away when you try to make steps in a positive direction, you get some hothead blowing up the joint. No one hase a gun to your head racefan2010. You don't have to come. not everytrack is the same and, for some drivers, it's not all about the highest payout...it's about the track, the fans, the staff....we still got em covered there.
Well if you have no cars you will not have a track, fans or staff . up payouts = more cars. Better racing not (hillbilly s#!t racing) varney has.
And your fall classic is the time as sunset's . Your APM special is the same night as sauble's that is a points night for Delaware good work varney and good luck

I assume your first sentence is sarcasm, but I don't think it is fair to blame CRO for individual member's rants. I do however understand what you are saying in the rest of your post. This is true with whatever field of endeavour you can name sadly.
looking at the mini payoffs...last at varney pays $50, that is double flamboro...infact u have to finish 7th to get that at flamboro...plus $7 cheaper to get in the pits i believe...X3 people that extra money saved and the payoff is almost the extra gas to get there....but an extra 3 hrs in driving time, and time is sometimes more important than anything...
varney superstreet feature payout is only $5 less than flamboro thunders...varneys pay is spread out more down the scale...$200 to wins vers $300 to win...
and varney pays $50 tow money for minis and sss...
