they have been bringing in dirt from the local highway projects to fill in the cliff on the backside and around the track...trying to make it more latemodel friendly, wider with more banking from what i was told...i just hope they keep it the same length, it's our bristol..lol.

  rumour mill has is D-shaped, moving front stretch wall back 5 feet, back straight 30 feet, 80 - 90 feet longer off corner 3/4, with progressive banking.  Should be fast!

Thats pretty cool. I havent been to Varney in years but I always liked it. (never cared for D shaped tracks...but whatever works for them.)

Might be worth a road trip next year!

I also heard that there is going to be a wall, all the way around the track.This should makes things interesting for next season,2 new tracks,well Sunset hasn't started anything yet,but iam sure they will,Steve Jr the ambassador will let us now when...lol
A couple years back in the llm,sunset had quite a few varney guys racing there,its not the far of a haul across hwy 89,so sunset better watch out now,cause its possible they might lose some drivers to varney.Maybe all the bsw cry babies can go cry at varney now,and save sunset all the grief!!!!!lmao
