Don't hold yer breath expecting big changes, that fill in the back ground pics. is just that, FILL coming off the highway widening project going into Durham. There is some stuff goin on but not like your hoping. Relocating the front stretch wall and new catch fence for now is bout it for this winter. Maybe recon next summer we will have to wait an see. There has been talk of this sense  2000 so I've pretty much written it off as more pipe dreams.   

doug townsend said a week or so ago that they hope to have the new configuration maybe by late aug, early september

So if they are plannin a summer time redo where does that leave the  racin?  That is not start Saturday night after the last race and be done for next week project.

the walls are down from corner 3 around to corner one. corner 4 will be pushed out 3 feet.toward the stands. the back stretch will not be done till near the end of next year the dirt needs to settle. 

Delaware managed to do quite a bit of work mid-season. Don't give up yet guys!
