i say run them as one class they do at sunset barrie and sauble
sunset and barrie have weight still based on cc with extra weight for 16v
sauble has car weights x amount of lbs per addvertised hp witch makes sense as the older cars are less hp and can take addvantage of the low weight that they are allowed to run

You already allow the 240's, they make even more power, there should be no different scoring for a 16v car. Every other track allows them. You can only stay in the 80's early 90's for so long. Reality is most vehicles these days are 16v if a four cylinder, and have been for the last 10 years.

Have you got dyno tests on this fact? I know they handle better at higher speeds through the corner, but I believe the horsepower output is very close to others.

I dont need dyno sheets. It was in relation to a sohc 1.6 vtec 16v honda motor, which makes about 127hp, 240 is 140hp, 155ft/lbs of torque. Sure there are more powerful 16 v motors but thats not what I was talking about. and most of those are DOHC.

the 240's have to weigh 2640 lbs, what do you think a 16 valve vtec honda should weigh then?

2450 would seem fair to me, if we are comparing it to a 240. I have been beat by 16v hondas in my 240, but at the same time I have beat many more. In my opinion all of the motor combinations can be run together if the right weight standards are put in place.
