“The race result was a little disappointing today because we qualified well. We had a reasonable start and were running strong at the beginning of the race. We did our compulsory pit stop early, which I think most people did too. When we came out, we had a good battle with the two Red Bull cars, but we just lost the rear tyre too early and then of course we couldn't maintain that same level. Then, right at the end, we had an exhaust problem, so we lost a bit of power. We managed to bring it home fifth though, which was good and the team is pleased with that. We've got a lot of things that we can take away from that race to contribute tomorrow and, being a longer race, I think we should be alright. Obviously well done to Shane (Van Gisbergen) for getting his first win with Red Bull Racing Australia and it's great that Triple Eight, as a team, were able to capture Holden's 500th win.”
