At Barrie you get points for going thought the gate and any points you earn up until you a black flagged. I had a second and a fifth in my heats and was BFRD in the feature on the 23 of August. So if tom was dq in one feature he should have gotten points up till that time(If thats the rule at Sunset).
When you go to re-enter a race, the flagman will hold you untill its clear to go.
tom should've waited for his signal to go. but on the other hand Tom made it back on the track without any problem, so some belame falls on the flagman for trying holding tom up and not letting him go as soon as it was safe. Yet another reason why I feel a full DQ is not a fitting punishment...
I agree. Dinging the pts. leader that bad is a little harsh. Tom has always been dumped on at that track, some I know because of his own actions, but it's still harsh.
When he was given his mechanical it was because of Quenelle walling him. I'm not saying it was done on purpose, but I am saying he didn't try to stop it either. There were wives next to me cheering for Quenelle while at this time Tom was still into the wall. How would they have felt if something serious had happened to Tom? I know there will always be rivalaries but it would be nice if people could show some class at the track instead of living up to the hillibilly race fan stereotype!
How can you blame the flagman?
If the flagman tells you that you cant go on and you disobey him you get black flagged. He is there for a reason.
And just because he is a top driver or a person is in a close points race you "fudge" the rules ?? Rules are made for everyone and everyone should be treated even. At some tracks if you arent sitting at the track entrance when they pass it on the white flag lap, you dont get on. I actually think thats stupid. If your there when they come for the green flag, you should get to re enter after the last car has passed.

I agree. So I'm asking for an example of where another racer got a DQ for ignoring the black flag. I don't think there is an example of this.....
