So this happens all the time in racing, but is never brought up on here about it. So the first time this racer happens to do it, NOT EVEN ON PURPOSE, there is a whole topic going on and on about it. This racer of the 31 is a very nice, honest person who races clean and has helped out many people including the 99 car earlier on that same night when he came to his trailer looking for a fuel line hose which the 31 car gave him.
Looks to me as if the 12 car Belesky is the one leaking, not fuel perhaps but water. I was sure the 12 was leaking 2 laps before this happened, he had just passed me on the restart. I thought Ricky had hit the leak. It also shows Chris was right up on the 67 of Santigato, and if he didnt see the light, then by the looks of that pic, he had no chance.
Look close, im sure fluid is coming out of the 12, and im not sure but I dont think he finnished the race from what im told. Not to say that is what caused the wreck.
Smiledtu...you need to relax buddy! No one said the 31 should be hung at high noon. We all understand, and many have stated that they didn't think it was on purpose including me. Clearly your close to this guy so don't worry, we don't want to see him banned from racing! It was clear it wasn't on purpose as right after he tagged him he backed off. That doesn't change the fact it started because of him. Any racer worth his weight races hard, and when you race hard, you race on the line and naturally if you race on that line you will cross it, even by accident from time to time.
On another note people discuss this all the time. Several top drivers have had their name mentioned for doing it over the last two years so don't think we're singling out only your buddy. And lastly, don't even try to say he never bumps anyone. I was on corner 4 Saturday and he bumped one car several times. Thats racing and anyone involved as a driver, crew, official or fan knows that happens OFTEN in all classes! However, when you doing it too hard, you pay the consquences and in this case, being bumped to the back was more than fitting.
Lastly, I hope the 31 comes back again as it was a joy watching him race and I have heard nothing but great things about him!
Charlie you are right Jimmys car was leaking. He pulled off right after the red came out. I had asked him after the race he said that add rad hose let go. Not to sure if the water jimmy was leaking caused Ricky's car to get loose but it could be? At the end of the day it was a racing thing plain and simple.
