Ross,
A true competitor would come back next year and show us who is the best.
What, so he can have the sunset officials hand over his next rightfully earned title?? I think not!
Actually Ross the difference between 2nd and 3rd is four points...so this is something that can easily happen...as we have seen this year...I actually spoke to Tom and Anne and their concern is valid...

Mr Wattie, It is a simply question being asked WHAT ARE THE FINAL POINTS FOR ALL DIVISIONS???? Or Mr wattie is it just a guessing game now, as it seems it is a difficult question to be answered by the points keepers. As it seems that Deb has something wrong with her computer as she doesn't come on any more. I am not insulting anyone but it is a fair question that needs to be answered one way or another.THE POINTS PLEAS!!!!!!!!!!
Deb has said the only division being investigated is the road runners!
Barrie97, I believed that too, as well as the points posted on the Sunset website. However, when you have the race director from Sunset coming on here and hinting that the points are not official yet (wattie 1 / Brian Watt), it begs the question, what in Sam Hill is going on here! LOL
I should expect that it would take some time to converse with any drivers who have asked for a validation of points. What I do not understand is the contradictions surrounding the finality of the points between the staffs comments on this board, and the track website. I would hope that all drivers have been, and will continue to be, treated with consideration and respect. The DRIVERS are the reason I go to the track, and the ensuing points conundrum of late is not good practice for a speedway whose awards are given based on points! This has become such a mess! What I find most troubling, is that right now, neither driver can possibly feel good about the way things are. Certainly one of them deserves to be enjoying their championship, and the other deserves to be enjoying a very close second, as they are both top notch drivers, who fought hard all year long. When this is over, will the winner feel good about the win? I sure hope so, but with all this controversy, I doubt that it's possible. Speedway is losing the respect of fans and drivers, drivers are not able to enjoy their victories, and fans are left scratching their heads as to how it could all go so wrong. Sadly, it seems that everybody loses. JMO
