i heard some rumours that mosport was going to do the same thing and that a drivers meeting is going to held to discuss things any truth to this ?
No idea what Mosport is doing. But there has been no formal annoncement to drivers, and the drivers meeting is not till January.
If they do, then I will split my time there an Sunset. Not sure how that will work for Mosport's advantage..
dont forget that many people enjoy the banquet at the end of the year but with no points its not necessary anymore
Maybe they'll keep track of the number of wins (heats and/or features) for each car, and determine the year end results that way. I do think that a lot of drivers want to be able to measure their team against the next guy's, and this way, you could have the best of both worlds. It would be really easy for everyone to keep track of the number of races each driver won, which would alleviate some pressure from the scorers, and it would encourage drivers and teams to go for the win each night. (of course, a really big paycheck would ensure that too!) Just a thought.
pay for heat wins too, and have a trophy dash or "dash for more cash" for the top 2 in each heat.... 😮
i think wes is on to something great. you could still have the person with the most wins or something. people are still going to know who the best is! also all you're going to get is balls out racing, no just finishing safe to preserve your points but going for the gusto every night. points racing is a pain in the ass, thats why alot of guys miss the first week or two. then they go to race and eliminate the headache of worrying about your stats all week. just check your wallet and see how you did. i talked to wes and from what i got was, saturday nights and the drivers are paid at the end of the night in cash. hope it works and i think it will.

Now there's another good idea as that definately use to work good when they did in the 90s.
Jim, thx for the head-up on what Wes has told you and you're right - it'll definately be more exciting due to lack of points racing. However, it'll only be exciting if we get a real good car count.
