16 points are awarded for being the fastest quailifier so tom went into the feature with a 4 point lead. 51 needed to finish ahead of 47
Thanks for clarifying that.
Well lets just say WOW? That's why I go to races and Sunset in particular! Let me say that I am a fan/friend of someone who has had to deal with both Walters and now Bentley, over the years. From my perspective, Tom would try to move you to win but he wouldn't deliberately try to wreck you; it might happen but I don't think he would try to do it. Bentley just doesn't care what happens as long as he gets by you. They both hate to lose but they are not the same in the intent they have. Bentley, with experience, may settle down and be more selectively aggressive in the future, win as many races but piss off fewer people in the process. But until this current deal gets settled and I don't think anyone believes it is, don't miss a lap as the season winds down. As far as Walters getting his spot back, thats a tuff one. The rule as it seems is an involved car to the back, and he certainly was involved. But, does that mean anyone in any race can wipe out anyone leading just because taking away their chance at victory. Accidents happen but if someone intentionally wipes someone else out is that different; I don't know. Outside of the drama the racing in all divisions was terriffic. It's almost fall, bring on the playoffs and turn up the intensity! All just my opinion of course.
I guess you don't remember the days of Tom Milligan and Walters going at it!!!!
Saw the video andI do beleive Bentley intentionally took him out. I havent seen or heard anything on this scenerio. If bentley did take out walters intentionally and was put to the back and was allowed to continue since he used up his car and walters was unable to continue due to some kind of damage then would bentley win the championship. Just putting it out there.
