I listened to the broadcast tonight from Racetime Radio and I found something interesting.. Bentley was talking to his spotter laps before he got into Walters saying that his throttle was sticking... This is laps before, so it was probably true. Did anyone else listen to the broadcast and hear the same thing that I heard? Because now the evidence is right in front of us.. Once again, it was laps before...
And the link to the video is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FU3wmj6QQ7Q ]Sunset Aug 26 2012 Lap 71/75 Bentley + Walters crash --- Jake + Dale undamaged[/url]
Thanks for posting the link.......I was hoping for the whole race. However, looking at the clip.....Bentley's car looks quite smooth, I would think that if his throttle was sticking he would be trying to feather the gas peddle.........but all that aside....if you say he was saying laps earlier that he admits his throttle was sticking........then why the hell didn't he pull into the pits?? Why would you take the chance of jeopardizing the safety of yourself or every other driver out there. That in itself is pure ignorance and arrogance on Bentley and his crew!!!!
He did go into the pits... They went under the car and then from where I was sitting it also looked like they went under the hood to try and solve the issue... The reason for the sticking throttle was the air intake box on the carb was shifted from the hood from saturday night... With that many laps to go, Bentley has already been pulling the throttle back, so you you might as well stay out.. Its only 4 laps.. Who knows how long its been going on before that caution... Especially being that close in the points with Walters...
im sure it wouldnt be shifted from saterday when he has to take it off to put a 4 barrel on use you head befor u try to defend some one who is just tryin to find excuess
Im sorry.. Im not a smart ass like you... Its the body mounts that shifted and the fenders got shifted.. That means the hood will be shifted.. If one side of the hood is pushed down, the breather box on the carb will be pushed on the one side, and the breather box wants to move... In this case, the hood was pushed down on the right side, and this caused the breather box to get pushed to the left... Where the throttle is on the carb...
So learn the facts before you come on here running your mouth...
