Absolutely agree 100% with what Scott said in his post!

I agree with what your saying. The cost I'm sure is going through the roof. However, that does not make it Donaldsons, Ted, Dilley's or Sunset's fault. So what Donaldson did was pushing the envelope, and I understand there should be concerns. But it isn't cheating then? Its just being a racer? Thats my take anyways.
We have had this discussion on here many times and it always goes around and around. The cost issue is a serious one that has happened since racing began. We can go back to strictly stock morphing into diamonds which morphed into late models and then other divisions were created like the 6 bangers and thunders. It is a hard one to solve. Some say if you want to put that much time and money into a thunder / Super Stock then you should be moving up to late models. There is merit to that but LM racing is a different animal then SS racing and some guys just like driving the SS cars. That is fine but then we get back to the cost issue. Tech has a lot to do with keeping a division fair and competitive but if I am not mistaken most tech officials have other jobs and don't have the time to do Cup level inspections. Perhaps there should be another division as someone else called the Super Duper Stocks. Maybe a street stock unlimited division. If guys want to spend $$$$$$$ on a street stock then let them but run a separate division and be very strict with the street stock tech to keep the cost down. Let the others spend all their money to win $500.
Ernie...valid point! I can understand that. All I'm saying is if he "pushed" the rule but didn't cheat, then you can't blame him. I can fully understand why small teams would won't this kept in check. Everyone wants to be competitive. Maybe your right, maybe they do need to start a middle class. As a fan I wouldn't complain if there's a market for it. Bring back the "Challengers" so to speak. I know it wouldn't be the same but you know what I mean.
I am sure that if any quick car out there is teched to the letter of the law then they would all be found guilty. Therefore Donaldson is not a cheat, he is progressive at worst. These guys live and breath racing. The only people that should be complaining are the ones that put in as much effort as they do, and when people do that, then they would not have the time or inclination to read internet forums anyway.
