I'd like to hear from the people who drive, attend, run, crew at etc. at Sunset.  The reason why I'm asking this is because I'd like to see what people who actually care about Sunset think and those who aren't biased against the track for any reason.  I mean no offense to people from Barrie as most of you are making legit points, but some of you are also very quick to crap on ANYTHING Sunset does.  I get that the times have been reversed in the past aswell so I'm not pointing fingers at either side.  I just accept that their in a rivalry, and rivalry create biased opinions by loyalty, or in other words...default.  Thanks to those who will respect this.  Its obvious from the other post how most people think so the horse doesn't need to be beaten any further.

Is Donaldson, in your opinion cheating?  Or has his team just done what every team in racing has done since the dawning of the sport at all levels?

Its all heresay at this point. No one has been caught cheating per se, innocent until proven guilty.

I agree...but is it legit, or pushing the grey areas.  Since the dawning of racing people have succeeded by pushing the grey...if thats the case, in my opinion everyone needs to catch up.  However, if he's cheating I'd like to see it fixed.

Agreed until you are deemed to be cheating you are not. I think the 53 team and the rest of Donaldson's have just made the rules work to their favour.

The answer is yes and no, hence the grey area. The team has pushed the rule book as far as anyone can, the problem I see with doing this it is driving up the costs of racing. The SS class or Thunder car costs have been going up at a scary rate, ask any driver in the top 10 how much they have or will spend at the end of the year and I can guarantee its not a couple of grand your looking at costs in the $10,000 range and more and that's lowballing the costs. This class at one time was put in a cage a good seat and throw in a motor that you built with your buddies on the weekend and went racing, now you have tube chassis, built motors around $7-$8000 ford 9" rear-ends from allstar that run you about $3000, racing shocks and springs add in another $1000, this is just a little bit of the costs involved in running a thunder car, when does it end ?? All this to win $500 !! Revolutionizing ?? Or killing the class ?? Its not just the Donaldsons its everyone, we all want more and more, we have done this to ourselves and there is nobody else to blame. If you want a little humor just after Christmas I suggest you go to a drivers meeting in late December and listen to all the drivers complaining about rules and the changes and what they want to bolt on there cars for the next year, forget YUK YUKS! its worth the price of admission.

IMO we have killed our own class and are slowly killing the sport we all love. JMO for what its worth!
