Maybe drivers are tired of this event, I am surprised another promoter has not taken a run at putting on a show on the same week-end, I know if I had a facility I would.

Tired of this event??  an invitational with a good payout when no other track is running and at least one track was rained out the week before!!! you would think people would be itching to race! JP may have done a few things to piss of racers but as a racer no reason to not go to this show!

Chase for the colours aside!! It was a 100 lapper paying $1300 to win with a track like Sunset having a night off!!  Cars should have been there!!  Cmon it was a invitational ,Don 91 your arguments make no sense! Even if you weren't going to the colours this was an invitaional with the opportunity of it being a good show. I say shame to all the drivers that didn't go and complain afterwards, there was no other race taking car counts away from this show. On top of that Peterboro is a fun place to drive. I say from now on JP should do like a qualifier for Daytona and lock in the front row with this show!

i agree, i give jp credit for putting this show on..for me its a 4 hour haul but if hadnt been wrecked i was planning on going,hope the one on sunday august 14th is still a go

any dummy can complain about a track promoter.....the guy doesnt know that the cars arnt gonna show........it was a busy weekend for many guys...mostly the super stock/thunder car division with the race fo champions.....and then their local show on saturday night......not many guys can swing to run two nights a week let alone a third and travel.... remeber gas is $130/litre...... this race would work on a different weekend.....i imagine that if the roc wasnt this week the track would have easily had 20 thunders....hard to say why more guys from other divisions didnt show.... i think maybe the chase for the colors might work for the grand opening to the season...... but the start of the year is kinda tough sledding guys make changes to the cars and sometimes the rules in classes change over the winter and havent been totally ironed out to level the playing feild....weight penalties for different parts ect.
so take it easy on the track promoters/owners they put thier neck on the line so we can go and enjoy these tracks!! and i know they dont have anything without cars in the pits and butts in the seats.....but what if they all close up shop.... where you gonna race and where ya gonna watch???

to the post by bluedevil, i think there are a lot of other drivers out there with same opinion as mine, just make it an invitational. and i did not skip running and then complain, i wanted to run but work injury has kept me out of racing the last few weeks. all i was saying was " where was the cars?. aside from it being chase for the colors, 1300. to win was a pretty good pay out and i figured some sunset cars would have shown up. just totally surprised that there was only one car there for llm`s from another track.
