Here's a solution to rising cost. Because the racer's budget's are limited and almost all LLM racers have 9" floaters already installed, if the track wants to change the rule to allow quick change axles then the track should buy every racer a quick change or leave the rule alone. I wonder how fast a track would want to change the rule if they had to pay for the racer's quick change. The same goes for crate engines, everyone runs a stock crate and pays for a stock crate. If the track wants to allow a crate to be rebuilt, then the track should pay for the rebuild. I wonder how many "refreshed magic engines" would be at the track if the track had to pay for them. The idea here is to get the tracks thinking about the budget of the average racer and by controlling cost to the racer, possibly more parked cars would come out to play.
k- man, love that idea, but we all know that will not happen. a simple solution would be talk to all drivers, not just a select few and get every ones input before making knee jerk decisions that just make racing too expensive. big bar ,soft spring set ups, fancy sway bars and light weight chassis, rebuilt crate engines are killing this division. as far as i am concerned if you want or need all that stuff, then go run open late model. have seen some ideas on here last couple of days that just might get or keep cost down so us as racers and fans who come out to watch can see some good racing.
