Kawartha Speedway has releaseed its 10 race schedule.  For 10 races it is a pretty full schedule.  The sizzler goes back to a triple 50 so I think we will get a better car count as it is not an ACT santioned event.  More local flavour.  There is also a notice on the website that states barrie and Kawartha are talking about the 4 race point fund between tracks.  I like the 10 race as it also states there is room for make-up races in case of rain.

Still the same rules as last year for LM which means Triple 50 for the regulars which means no more local flavour. No Shaw,Elliotts,Hookers and others=NO more fans which means money lost, which means track gone.Derek praises himself on going ACT rules but go ask him how many good LM shows he had this year,He 's always complaining about the SHOW.He makes no sense!

Slowel,  I agree that the ACT rules hinder the LM such as Shaw, Elliott, and Hooker, but it will also open the door for the other LLM that may want to take a chance at it.  Vic Parson and others such as that.  The LM shows were brutal from the fact that there was soooo much wrecking going on.  Now that they took the spotting away from the drivers it will be worse.  I personally like the idea of a 10 race sched as "they say" they will make up rain outs, but how will they do that.  The fans are the ones that pay the payouts, and last minute adds never work.  We will certainly have to see how these things work out.

Are the rules so different that the Delaware and Flamboro cars couldn't be competetive? It's a 125 lb weight penalty (2850 for ACT cars vs 2975 for Del/Flam) for the big crate engine. Surely that's not enough for top runners like Shaw and Hooker to not even make the attempt. Personally, I feel there's the potential for this (Summer Sizzler) to be a quite good show; the regular Kawartha field (20+ cars every night last year), add some Ottawa cars, hopefully a few Del/Flam cars and some LLM cars (Sunset, Barrie, Mosport, Peterboro, Varney and Sauble, there's plenty to draw from) and you could have a good field and some entertaining racing. Maybe it won't turn out that way, but I don't think it should be written off yet.
