Tammy10, I've had enough of you and some others on here bashing DJ. Everytime one of our Canadian racers does get somewhere we have idiots bashing them. I would say DJ has earned what he has gotten, unlike some other also rans in the Busch series ( yeh I know but it will always be the Busch series to me ). Sure he is in not in top notch stuff, but would you turn down the chance he has been given? I doubt it. Like it or not, he is getting noticed down there and gaining respect from the NASCAR elite. I have heard from people who are in the know. Now let's admire our fellow Canucks for getting to the upper levels of NASCAR and forget about all the BS.
PS. Will Pat Carpenter ( I've NASCARized his name ) qualify again. I wouldn't bet against it. Hopefully his luck will change on race day though.
Wow such "love" Tammyten for a driver doing whatever possible to challenge themselves in the big sea of NASCAR racing. And based on performance with the equipment they are using I'd say it is a respectable performance the whole team is giving. Do we as Canadian race fans wish he was winning a race each week?? Of course we do that's because real fans actually cheer and support their drivers. But in reality when you are running in a series where the top 10 cars each week is lucky to have any driver other then a Sprint Cup driver in it a result like DJ is having is good. I'm also betting if you could ask DJ if he was happy with his results he'd say they are ok but he wants more.
And as pointed out numerous times on this site by various posters the "lack of positive support" for a driver might just be part of the reason little or no media coverage is happening in regards to the series. They see all the negative posts about the series or driver and figure why waste space on something that no one actually enjoys. We have enough negative stories in the news, lets leave auto racing out of it.
I know I have never experienced so much emotion watching DJ racing in the Nationwide series.
Knowing both Patrick and DJ it is always extremely tense in our household when racing or qualifying is on. But no matter what happens to either of them I still cheer them on!!
