Unfortunately that post was inaccurate as when I went to go check just in case it was the Montreal race I discovered it was definitely the Montreal race. And this is why I really question why TSN couldn't have aired it live for the English side of Canada. As they already had the coverage being provided by their French network. Again great job by RDS to show the race and promote the drivers in the series as they interviewed Andrew Ranger, Alex Tagliani, Robin Buck and DJ prior to the start of the race.
Hill3 i have to agree with you!! shocker eh?! Allen bestwick and Randy Lajoie did a great job of explaining the nascar/cascar scenario during busch qualifying. We also heard jenna Fryer (assoc press) do an awesome interview on one of the sirius shows on saturday morning. Heres how i see it....we are all a bunch of motorhead race fans, we want every tidbit of rumour gossip and news from the world of racing, its kinda like a hobby. WE know what NASCAR is in Canada but it is really narrow minded to think the rest of the country should know who Dj or J.r. or dilley are. we have to educate the rest of the people/fans of our sport over and over, until they start to be "brand loyal".
I do agree if that race was produced then why wouldnt they do it for the rest of the country??? anyway the race sounds like it was a big success and the NCATS raced in front of 60,000+ people for the second race in a row...and the finishes were both extremely close!!!! This does wonders for the corporate people that want to be involved. wheather with the series then purses go up...or with the teams so the teams can afford to race, then midamerica and Rz Racing can field teams full time next year!!! #21 Jason White NCATS
