Why was there a rookie starting in this ROC in the first place? Was there not enough of the seasoned drivers to fill the field or what?? Definately Pros and Cons glad Gary 36 pointed this out to us.
The top 20 in Flamboro points were guaranteed to qualify. There were 20 Invites. Because some of those invited but were not able to go (because they didn't have a car, or couldn't make it), it made room for any who filled out an online request to be in the race. Only 10 of the 20 Invites were able to show up.
I wasn't able to confirm a car until 2 weeks before the race. Thanks to Jason Legge from Sauble Speedway, for lending me his car and to Glenn Schnurr for bringing the car down. We were able to get in the race, and it was a fun deal, we just couldn't keep up to the standard transmissions and higher HP cars. Still it was fun to be in the race.
Glad you had fun Gary, sounds like quite a few didn't...
i personally thought the show was shit!! and totally stacked for the home track guys. starting all of the invaders on the outside of a 1 groove race track was b.s!! marty is right, joe is an awesome guy and he didn't deserve that. the 10 car is a frigging dolt, we are running 7,8 and 9th and he bozais into leonard and i like a maniac. ruining both cars chances. never, ever will i set foot near that place again. a great 800 dollars spent for nothing but an invitational, not a race of champions!!!!
lining the cars up like that is how you would do any invi with 2 heats to qualify but because one heat consisted of invaders, they all got the outside. i don't think anyone thought that thru. didn't mixing the nascar guys in there change it a bit? just asking.
Stacked for home guys? hardly. any time thunders go from other tracks and run their home rules at flamboro, it's stacked in their favour. Flamboro has the most restrictive thunder rules of any track. never started on the outside and won? wasn't a well thought out idea for lining up but i doubt they were actively "stacking" in favour of home cars
10 is an idiot. blame the track, never come back, but it's you that loses in the end because you eventually limit your racing world to your own back yard . Winning every feature in a 10 car field all year is gonna get tired after awhile. go back, win, that's how to get feeling better about what happened
it was stacked! and yes the 10 car pulled a bullshit move! i'd sooner race with 10 clean cars every night then get wrecked every night. by the way 19 thunders last night. you have your opinion and i have mine! thanks to gary elliot and jr fitzpatrick for helping me out with my clutch issues. i'm not saying the drivers and staff are bad, they were very friendly and my only beef is the 10 car and the format, but gary hit that one on the head!
First off I should not have allowed my self to get sucked in by cascar bob....I will admit I should NOT have posted The PM that was WRONG !!...I am sure he had nothing to do with the 14 or 44 team now that I have cooled off I can see things more clearly.......I WILL NOT however take back anything I said about the 44 as or the 14 I am WILLING to say I am SORRY JR as it was very unfair of me to bring you into a beef that I had with another car weather you own that car or not......If you say you pass Delaware tech then I guess I will MAN UP and ACCEPT that...I will say again congrats on your win as that is what will be in the record books when we are all on the other side of the sod.........if everyone will go back and look at my previous posts on this forum I have always tryed to get my point across using some dry humour verse just trash talking..........I do believe the thunder class is going to die and it is going to be a sad day like I have said before where are all the Challengers ?? well I guess the answer to that is they are thunder cars and there wasn't many left in the end I guess as far as the race went I would like to see it again but it would be nice to see the cars a little more even as far as lap times go.........Gary 36 you are a class act!! didn't see anything negative in your post even your con list we can all learn from your post....it was good to talk with you on Fri as we were pitting right next to you and thanks again for helping us out by savin us a pad.......I think JAN 1 you r right to question why a rookie was in that race......I think the reason a rookie should not be in that race is obvious they do rookie things but they should man up and admit a mistake like Gary says........thanks for yoursupport Monette 72 but now that you have cooled off Marty I am sure you are not calling for a walling of the 44...and I should add for the record for the people reading this that the 44 is not the 44 That s normally talked about on here Davey was running as the 94 even thou he is a multiple champion a rookie invader was able to run the 44 #........Ernie you can release your breath now!!.............
hope I have covered everything here if not don't worry I will post again
signing off for now
