Where and what Track starts invaders on the outside in a feature during an invite? And Jans1 it may not be 2 or 3 yrs, I don't know but the way its going its not good for all of us. I hate to say it as I hate Flammy but they got it right with there Thunder rules. They have prolly the best Thunder counts in the province because as some one said on here "Behind the Times". NO they got it right. Sorry but spending a down payment on a house to win a $500 payout is just plain stupid. Does anyone remember what happened to the challenger division? So where do thunders go from here? Some one please tell me!
For the record my comment about a down payment was not directed at the 14 car! Just wanted to make myself clear! Oh and the Jimmy Spencer interview about Flammy, what do you think he is gonna say after they just paid him a pile of cash? This place is a piece of crap?
Well its good to see that Flamboro has done it yet again. Seems that place has a way of pissing everyone off. We will not be returning to the dirt hole ever again. BS rules, crooked tech, unorganised racing. 5 FN minutes between heat 4 and the B then an hour between the two features! Give me a break. As for the 14 car, its a Delaware car, what can you do. We give him a go up north.
The show wasn't perfect, but it was a good day for most all of the fans and the drivers who got into the first and second features. I've read most posts and want to add some points, because I think the biggest thing to kill any racing is the incredibly negative comments. Most of those comments don't serve anything, although they show frustration. So far it's the minority, but soon, if enough people trash everything, it will die. Then what?....nothing, there will be nothing left to slam.
There were some pro's and con's, and some justified outbursts, but this was the first attempt at Flamboro to host this kind of show. Though I didn't like some things that went down, it was a success.
Pro's
* great car count
* the NASCAR stars showed up and were very friendly
* 1500 + fans (would have filled Sunset or Sauble)
* the show moved along as scheduled
* the format was listed in January, qualifying and line up
* some very good talent from the Canadian racing scene in Ontario
* excellent racing, in both features, no carnage
* excellent weather and over early
Con's
* not enough parity in the cars
* the NASCAR guys should have got the same deal as Kyle did at Delaware, a car that could win, no one had a chance at that race except Kyle.
* could have altered inside/ outside lanes for Home and Invanders
* not enough time between races
* should have had some kind of entertainment show or second division
* poor pay off, not quite as bad as Delaware's poor pay out last July when Kyle came, that was the worst ever.
The way I look at it, the show was very good, could have been better, and if they do the same deal in 2012, they can improve it by making some changes.
As for #00 and #44, I was right behind when it happened. I don't really know either driver, but the #00 got a bad deal, getting wrecked so bad on lap one. The #44 needed to be patient and try to get in the first feature. If his team was doing their homework, they could see they would have easily qualified. The #00 was very fast in hot laps deserved to be in the big show, and both cars would have been in the first feature for sure. The #44 owes #00 an apology, maybe not now, but sometime when things cool down. Heard he was a Rookie, and sometimes these things happen when someone over drives. I'm sure he learned a huge lesson, and his next one should be to own up to it and let the #00 know.
