====RADIO SUMMARY====
- Fans gathered at Delaware Speedway for fan appreciation night and special tributes to long-time competitor Jamie Ramsay who passed away in February.
- The FT Garage Late Model fan appreciation event was won by defending winner of the event Jesse Kennedy (#10) of Oneida who passed long-time rival Shawn Thompson (#72) of Ailsa Craig on lap 44 of the 75-lap race. The two drivers seemed to have finally buried the hatchet, racing cleanly throughout the event.
- Coca-Cola Super Stocks were wildly competitive with Jeff Showler (#44) of Mt. Elgin taking the win. The race ran caution free but was not short on action with six lead changes among five drivers.
- Kris Lawrence (#28) of London struggled through the early part of the season but logged a second consecutive strong finish announcing his return as a contender.
- The V8 Stock Muscle Car event was won by Steve Arrand (#37) of Ailsa Craig in an event that saw an unprecedented eight lead changes among five drivers.

Victory and Tributes, Record Number of Lead Changes for APC Night
Delaware Speedway PR
It was a night of victories and tributes for fan appreciation night at Delaware Speedway on Friday night. The Coca-Cola Super Stocks 34-lap tribute feature for Jamie Ramsay, a long time driver at Delaware Speedway was won by Jeff Showler (#44) of Mt. Elgin. The night also included a 35-lap V8 Stock race, won by Steve Arrand (#37) of Ailsa Craig. The much anticipated 75-lap FT Garage Late Model event saw defending winner Jesse Kennedy (#10) of Oneida take home the checkers.
Jesse Kennedy took the win in the FT Garage Late Models 75-lap feature, after scoring top spot in time trials with a time of 19.402. After the inversion Lloyd Rawlings (#69) of Windsor led the first lap, but was quickly passed by Doug Stewart (#2) of London. Shawn Thompson (#72) of Parkhill took the lead on lap three and was able to hold the position until lap 43, when he was passed by Kennedy who went on to win the race. The race had three cautions two of which took place during the first two laps before the division hit their racing rhythm.
Jeff Showler (#44) of Mt. Elgin won the 34-lap Jamie Ramsay memorial Coca-Cola Super Stocks feature but fought hard against the competition to do so. Greg Dadson (#23) of Union led the first lap but was passed by Kris Lawrence (#28) of London who held the lead until lap 16. Showler passed Lawrence and led lap 17, but was passed by Lawrence again, who led the next lap. Showler took back the lead and led until lap 22, when he was passed by Kenny McNichol (#17) of Exeter. Showler however refused to settle in second place and passed McNichol on the 24th lap to take the win. McNichol came in second and Lawrence came in third. The race ran caution free but was not short on action with six lead changes among five drivers.
Steve Arrand finished first in the V8 Stocks feature after battling it out with Calvin Verheyen (#172) of Strathroy. Norm Schnekenburger (#46) of Wallacetown led the first three laps until he was passed by Mannie DeMelo (#182), who led until lap five at which time Arrand took the lead again. He was passed by Derek McCullough (#38) of Glencoe on lap fifteen. Arrand powered through, and took the lead again until lap 18, when Verheyen tried to take the win for himself. He led lap 19, but Arrand passed him and led lap 20. Verheyen once again challenged Arrand and led the following two laps until Arrand took the lead in lap 23 to take the finish. McCullough placed second and Gary Zwygers (#93) of Cambridge placed third. There was one caution on lap 14.
Next Friday, July 19 is Police, Fire & Ambulance Appreciation Night, sponsored by Stantec. The program will include FT Garage Late Models, Demar Aggregates Trucks, and a King of the Hill Spectator’s Race. Delaware Speedway invites members of police, fire, and ambulance services along with their immediate family to come to the track free of charge as a thank-you for the work they do in our community.. There will also be racing on Saturday with GAW Recycling Enduro, Bone Stock Chaos Cars, a Legends Cars Invitational, and Crazy Car Curling.
