Donald Gordon McKichan
Mr. Donald Gordon McKichan, age 74 passed away Monday, July 1, 2013. Mr. McKichan was born August 7, 1938 in Middlesex County, Canada to Milton John and Ada Isabelle McDonald McKichan.
Mr. McKichan served as a crew chief during 1973 and 1974 for driver Earl Ross with Carlings Race Team, and retired as mechanic for NASCAR. Mr. McKichan was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother; Clarence Lyle McKichan.
Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy Lalich McKichan of the home; Son; Timothy Paul Mckichan and girlfriend Amy Lee Kepley of Mooresville; brothers, Stan McKichan and wife Marion of Thedford, Ontario and Ken McKichan and wife Deanna of Northville, Ontario; Sister, Jean Shipway and husband Don of Ailsa Craig, Ontario; and several nieces and nephews.

Sorry I don't know much about him, other than that before the NASCAR deal, I believe the McKichans either owned or crewed on Earl's number 13 cars, like the purple Chevelle aka the Wild Mouse. And even then don't hold me to it..sorry. Jerry Thompson might be the guy to talk to.
