King of the Hill is a huge draw, as well as drivers being up top. I feel having divisions that are not running that night, or a few that are up top is great. Grabbing the younger generation is vital, and there have been lots of good ideas mentioned. I feel advertising the ability to run 4 cyl. front drivers publicly (online or otherwise focusing on clubs), in enduro's will help. A lot of people do not even realize they have a place to race 10 minutes from home.

Letting the fans in the pits after the races is usally a bust as the kiddies are all tired, we need get the mcharged up before the races begin, let them meet thier favourite driver before the show begins, then they know who they are rooting for.

YES!

Letting the folks down after the races is , of course, awesome. But Jim hit it right on the head. In my response above I was taking about engaging the kids. This is how you do it. You've given them a personal stake in the show, and we need to do that.

I saw it a million times as a pro kids entertainer. Most places (and not necessarily racetracks) make the mistake of having something for the kids, but then sticking it off to the side away from the action, like the main event wasn't enough to keep them entertained...like the "kid part" was a whole seperate event. Its wrongheaded, because while the kids might remember whatever entertainment it was that was aimed at them, they won't remember what they were originally there for unless the part that's aimed at them is a part of the overall show.

Going back to what Jim said, if you have a couple guys up top that are racing that night, that kid can have that autographed hero card in his hands, waving it in the air, while his guy is racing. Now you've engaged that kid, and probably made a fan for life.

Now I understand that logistically there are some problems there. (What if the guy messes his car up in practice, or if the car just needs worked on etc.) But there's definitely a starting point to some forward thinking as far as the kids go.

Why not take a page out of the NASCAR book? It has already been stated that the time between 7 when the gates open and 8 is dead time. Why not do driver introductions? I would think opening the pits up before the racing starts may be problematic with teams preping their cars. Secondly, as has been stated here many times, if the CHAOS cars are that popular with the Kids then get them up on the hill with the drivers until it is their showtime. Thirdly where are the T shirt cannons????????

simple, bring back the autograph night, line up a division on the front stretch. I was a little perplexed why they didn't do it this last season. and how about a longer season because the weather was still good going thought september
