I don't want to be harsh but 2 kids showed up after a race to get Juice Box's autograph. That was it no more. The book is a fantastic idea but come on, the kids need to get acces to the drivers while it's still daylight out.
To tell you the truth, I was really excited to meet the drivers at my first CASCAR race and I was like 38 years old, These guy's were doing something I had always dreamed of doing and I was meeting them in person. So it's not really only about the kids.
Give the fans the feeling that are REALLY important to the show and they REALLY matter to the drivers. And you know what start a kids club, $10 bucks gives you an autogragh book and maybe draw for some T shirts, Hats, checker flags, you now give aways.
I think the track has done awonderful job at catering to the adults now lets hit the kids and make them fans for life.
Know if we can figure out how to get the teens out and having a ball, Hey charter a bus and let them in cheap. Pick a highschool a week.
Option for transmissions for trucks, been hearing its been talked about and talked about and talked about, so how about it gets done for 2010, give them the option standard or automatic just like enduro has the option, not like it would be hard for rules just use street stocks manual transmission rules. i have mentioned it to jeff wilcox and he basicly said mininum changes for 2010 and that he hasnt heard anything from any other drivers, but i have not just from trucks, street stock etc.
I think the busing idea is good. I will give a perfect example. saulble buses campers to the raceway for 2 good reasons, brings in people & you dont have to worry about driving back to your camp after having a few beers. So guys have a bus to pick up the people of komoka & kilworth & bring them to the races & enjoy a fun night, have a fews beer & some good food & not have to be worried about an impared charge. I bet you would find a lot of peiople would really take advantage of this.
Grand Bend Motorplex busses fans out of south London too . Would be a great plan for Delaware. Whos gonna be bus patrol? LOL
Really? Grand Bend picks up in London?? I had no idea.
Hey you guys get me the bus and I'll drive er'. Back when I was driving, I often considered setting up something like this, but it just didn't work $$ wise. (My own bus co didn't give its drivers much of a break on pricing.)
Love to see it though. I'd imagine you could fill a bus every week if you had a good central stop (easily accessible by city bus) for a pick up.
