As far as I know it looks like Streetstocker33 reads it the way I do. The point was merely a comical one as to the fact that it is easy to interperate rules differently.
As for the enduro pretty much any drive line goes as long it was stock to the vehicle, unless otherwise stated. I remember last year's driver meeting and it seemed they were keen on getting more of the 6's and 4's in it. I don't recall any exclusions but again check your rule book. I don't recall any exclusions and I would love too see a diesel jetta out there ;D
I do know the pay went up or pick-up trucks and non GM's
The point I was making has nothing in fact to do with the year, it was merely to point out that it's really easy to misinterept was the meaning. Yes it's true we can clearly see the rule comes into effect for the 2011 season. But does "rear disc brakes will be allowed on any vehicle however only in cases where they are installed on a
full floating 9” rear end assembly" mean they are allowed on any car or only a car with a 9" and does the weight penalty to just 9's or rear disks on anything. Well I guess we can wait and see. ;Dlooks pretty straight forward, discs allowed on any car with a floater, not legal on anything else, gotta run extra weight for a floater.
That is how I read it.
What the track is trying to do is give the teams a heads up to 2011 rules, so over the next year you can start sourcing parts. The track and we all know that if the track said full floaters with discs are allowed in 2010 that every SS team would arrive at first practice with a full floater with disc. The track doesn't want to see this happen cause that allot of $. If you take 18months to get the parts although the cost isn't less the time to buy it will spread out the cost, so teams can spend the money in wiser places.
Also, if you happen to damage your rear end during the 2010 season you can put in the new floater. You better have some major damage not just a bearing or a gear, but maybe an broken after market axle or housing. I'd assume that every SS team will be willing to give you parts during 2010 to keep you out of a floater and disc setup.

What is amount of weight penalty for the floater??

that hasn't been decided yet.
for the enduros...nothing says you cant run a duel cam or a turbo 4 cylinder that i saw...or am i to assume you cant/
unless its otherwise listed i think you should assume stock, that lovely definition that was added this year im sure will be used to clear up a lot of "misunderstandings"
