This show was going to be Buxton mini mods only but have opened it up to cars that dont fit the bone stock rules to let other drivers till come and have some fun at the 1/2m

Please dont take this a a complaint but I think you should allow for home track rules because I am not going to buy a new helmet and change my belts for a 1race deal I think this will be fun. Jmho

Well you might not be able to compete, but it was their deal first so um yah.

Fwiw, I am bringing my varney ministock, which is a fairly quick and competetive ministock. I am fully expecting to get my arse handed to me, but the way I figure it is someone has to finish last. 😀  I dont get many chances to run on a 1/2 mile track, so I am not to concerned about where I will finish.

Dont forget, this event is advertised as an "open 4 cyl. race" not as a ministock invitational. If you know the rules going in then there is no reason to bitch about them, just show up and race or stay at home.

99% of the Buxton guys have no idea where to start for a setup let alone have drove on pavement.  my self only have 2 Flammy races and 1of the 35 lap enduro challenge from this year under my belt for pavement racing .. and I'm trying to do as much reading as i can here in the next month to come close to a base setup idea.

Mini 19 I'm glad to see your going to make the trip it should be a fun day of racing. I expect and average lap times of high 25s to mid 26 for most of us but i could be off that's what we run in the enduro stang.  we run a 2.73 with a 2.14 tranny and turn around 6000 rpm but there for the 200lapers  id say around a 6.00-6.20 overall wit ha 71-75 inch tire should be what to shoot for depends on the rpm you want to turn.
