Travel distance, time off work, and cost.  3 good reasons not to go watch a nascar race live.  Especially when the race is good for 450 miles, then nascar throws a '' debris'' caution at the end to mess up what WAS a good race.  Then all you get is 20 laps of restart after restart becouse the boys just keep crashing into each other becouse they know they will get a green-white-checkard out of it, and it still ends under caution with a crash.

If I want to see a 20 lap feature ill go Barrie or Sunset, not a nascar circus.

Next one is Bristol for me, then Pocono. I've been looking into Pocono, because it's cheap. Bristol, because it's just evil to see. I was on the surface there once, when no cars were on it. Just incredible to see.

:Pocono is BORING" !

I like going for the spectacle...all of the people, vendors, see the cars up close, the sound, but as far as watching the race, I get way more out of watching the race on TV than I do at the track...

I loved the feeling of being there, no doubt. But I have to agree, I watched the TV screens a lot down there.

I personally have not been to a race live at Daytona- been to the track and had a tour and what not. I have been to quite a few races at bristol and it is second to none- non stop action- the whole week is amazing- Day race or night race. I cant justify going to the bigger tracks like daytona where you cant really see the whole race, only parts, the coverage for that in my opinon is more worth it than attending. Now if I were to sugges a few other tracks. Anything short track. As well as Charlotte. Charlotte is more then just the race. The shops are close enough you can tour them all. I would strongly recommend everyone going to check out the shops, very fan oriented these days.
