As someone who can only use the internet at a public library and gets my Delaware info through friends and wifes smart phone I find all this twatting quite annoying. Maybe when I take my weekly trip to the library to read the Delaware news page there could be a relavent report of how the race went, behind the scenes stories like this one or even a mid weed update. What competitors are doing who's made big changes etc. Seems the pr guys job Is to collect all these twats and compile them through the week. I haven't seen this done

We have a race recap and full results posted to the website often within 1 hour of the race concluding. Here is an example from last Friday: https://delawarespeedway.com/rookie-driver-amanda-connolly-wins-tirecraft-100-friday-recap. We also make special announcements throughout the week (such as the KOTH special), and the lead story this week which complies all the information for the weekend for casual fans to know what's going on when.
The twitter system is social media and is not the be-all-end-all of track PR. It's not considered official but gives competitors the voice to talk about their racing however they wish. If you check the speedway twitter link we do compile the most interesting ones, usually that have photos of what drivers are up to. See the example of what it looks like compiled here: https://twitter.com/DelawareSpdway
For example, if you check it today, you would see one that shows defending track champion Andrew Gresel's team moving their vehicle out of the shop and getting ready to load, and another photo from the track showing some new billboards going up. Nothing overly press release worthy, but certainly interesting for die-hard fans.
There is more information available on the racing then there has been... ever. I can literally count on one hand the number of teams that regularly send usable information to us for updates either by e-mail or twitter - - Fitzpatrick & Lake are one such grouping and will receive coverage for their efforts during tonight's events.
I like to think the amount of information we offer in a timely manner is top notch, but I'm under no illusions that improvements can be made to how and when we deliver this content. I love hearing different ideas and thoughts on how fans get their racing news.
... based on the stack of old programs from the 80's I have in my office, I sometimes think it must have been a lot simpler when everyone got their info from that book once a week and from the newspaper the day after! ;D - - this is part of the reason Delaware offers a free weekly printed program... There is still something to be said for having all the key information printed and in your hands during the event.

Thanks John. Photos of teams moving cars onto trailers is thrilling glad you took some time out of your day to inform us.
Maybe you should hire shifty John and then all will be right with the world. As far as I can tell Delaware updates their site with more info more often then most of the other tracks I check on a regular basis. Could more info be available? Sure but think back a few years when the only info you got was the weekly program and relying on the Freeps for racing info is not going to keep you up to date that is for sure. Info like what happened with the 28 LM would be nice but I won't go there LOL.
Back to the topic at hand...Darrell, is Fitz going to let you try to qualify the 84 also? Only seems fair 😉 I am sure that John will do a great job pumping up this mini rivalry although we are probably just playing into Darrell's and JR's hands and promoting their internet reality show for them LOL!
Lake wins the practice shootout and comes home second in the feature. Good run Darrell.
But now we have swaybar-gate. Let the conspiracy theories begin! 😉
