The Challenge Is On: Lake Vs. Fitzpatrick This Friday At Delaware

From Darrell Lake Racing – With the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series racing at Delaware Speedway this weekend, driver and points leader JR Fitzpatrick wanted to try and get a few extra laps in around the track. This lead to a deal between himself and Super Stock veteran Darrell Lake, who recently purchased JR s Superstock over the winter, to give him a shot at getting behind the wheel to race on Friday night. It’s a deal that only two racers would come up with.
During practice on Friday night, each driver will be taking the #77 London Drive Systems Dodge out for two sessions each. The driver to set the fastest lap time in the car between the sessions, as determined by the transponder system at Delaware Speedway, will race the vehicle in competition later that night. It was agreed between the drivers that Darrell Lake will start out in the first session and JR Fitzpatrick will take round two. Keep a close eye on the car during practice or follow the live scoring system to determine who will be racing in tomorrow nights line up, the seasoned NASCAR veteran, or the Delaware Speedway regular.
I think Fitz will have the edge going second but who knows, Darrell knows the new line better in the 77. Should be interesting.
Did the setup last night and set it up at his weight, since he has a few on me, but we're both going to be doing basically qualifying laps all practice trying to outdo eachother......remember, I definitely have a third practice session, depends if he has a fourth or not....

That would be a smart idea, but I also sent that same release to John and he never did anything with it, so whether he gets behind it and is supportive during practice, I dunno... Time will tell. I'm pumped to try and earn this ride, see if I can beat the great Fitzy haha
