Lol....yes the stoplight. It had an "I brake for animals" bumper sticker beside it.

If I recall correctly, it was in response to a black flag the week before for brake checking someone. He figured if he put a brake light on his rear deck then no one would have an excuse.

Sure we do. Just that these days it gets glossed over in the presentation so no one sees it. They don't even make it public when someone is fined or reprimanded in some way.

I guess they're worried about annoying the car sponsors of the "bad guys", and bent on protecting the drivers from themselves.

It is no secret, that my ALL TIME favorite LM driver was Tracy Leslie. Aboard his green Shadowoods Trans AM #6, it was always good to see someone who could keep up and compete with Hanley.

He signed every autograph, posed for every picture,

Much to my surprise, in my first year of announcing in 2006. I arrived at the Speedway for work and I was met at the top of the hill by then track GM Kevin Bulmer,  He said "I have a surprise foryou"

He walked me to view the pit area and pointed out a LM coloured in green, with a bright neon #6............ It was Tracy's son Billy.

Kevin said "Jared, thats Tracy Leslie's son, he is going to race tonight... but I got one better,    Tracy is here, and I want you to interview him"

Ive been at this announcing gig for 7 years now.  Ive had the privledge of interviewing some of the greatest drivers,  Johnny Benson, The Busch Bro's,  Junior Hanley (*another story another time) Chris Pearly, but by far, the biggest thrill for me was standing beside the man I cheered for week after week 20+ years later..
