Just for fun. I got thinking of this while playing "rainout trivia" with Jared this past Sat nite.
Here's the question: Who is your all time favorite non-currently-active Delaware speedway late model driver, and why?
Doesn't have to be the best driver....just your favorite.
Pete Vanderwyst, because he always ran as hard as he could, and usually did anything to win. Inspired me to do the same in my career.
Ok so due to the 140 letter limit on twitter, I wasn't clear on the question. It was "Pick your favorite driver" ...with no s on the end.
ONE driver.
If we get enough responses I'll compile the results. For the sake of argument, for guys that picked 2 or 3 favorites, I'll go with the first one on their list.

Anyway, mine's Skeeter Betteridge. Always hard up on the wheel, could rough it up with the best of them, and he gave great mic. ;D
Plus who could forget this magnificent machine?
Favorite Skeeter quote, shortly after skating across the finish line on his roof:
Announcer: How do you feel?
Skeeter: "meh....nothing a few beers won"t cure."
I also remember some quote where he thanks both his wife and his girlfriend in a victory lane interview, but I forget exactly what he said. I just remember a lot of people laughing about it.

My favorite - Speedy Jack Monahan. A track champion, a hard charger, but most of all - a class act.
Datona Don Biederman the best late model driver to ever garce Deleware speedway.Allways put on a show remember the stop light deal on the back of the car.
