For the purposes of JRL it's normally believed that the "front stretch" is the one closest to the fans.  Backstretch is the straight furthest away, in this case where the flagman is.

The names for the turns are even more fun...  Instead of your Friday turns 1-4, the corners have slightly more colourful names...  "Concession/Tech Turn", "S-Turn / Dogleg / Righthander" ;D

Fromthestands they can play the video right on here all you do is click the youtube icon when entering a message and enter last part of the video which was ExeWQhnN4Gs
and the site takes care ofthe rest.

You have to check out these highlights of the Junior Racing League from Wed. night.

Who says you can't try to win it on the first lap.

Or lose it on the last.

Stars in the making!!! How I wish this was possible when I was young(er)

why didn't they let them use the whole track instead of the mini one?? The building in turn one is close to where they race.

who sponsors this series Now?

The title sponsor of the series is Krown Body Maintenance.  Associate sponsors include Challenger Motor Freight, Jones Brown Motorsport Insurance, Coca Cola, Libro Fincancial, Auto Trim Design, Leaf Racewear and Pocono Raceway.  The program is always looking for new sponsors to assist with the scholarship program.

We generally keep the cars off the full 1/2 mile track for a couple of reasons.  The cars have no suspension components.  The 'character' of the big track at this time gives the cars a bit of trouble and can send them self spinning very easily.  The program has raced on the big track several times in non-points exhibition races before the Labour Day race.

The other issue that crops up is speeds.  The cars are capable of over 100 KPH, however by limiting them to the road course we can keep those speeds down to an estimated 40-50 KPH.
